Hey Friends! I hope you are all having a great November so far! I want to keep you in the loop so here's what's coming up for Mosaic: This Sunday: We'll dive into Genesis 6-8 as we continue our series "Living A Better Story." Baptisms This Sunday! This Sunday we will celebrate the fact that God changes lives through His amazing grace by doing our first baptisms! It's going to be epic- you aren't going to want to miss it!! Child Dedications on November 15: Child Dedication is a time for you to dedicate yourself to Godly parenting. Of course, you won’t be perfect in this, but it’s a time for you to publicly dedicate yourself, to the best of your abilities, to raise your child in a Godly home. The dedication is a time for you to publicly dedicate yourself to this in front of your family, church family, and friends. It’s also a time for those friends and family to rally around you and support you in prayer. If you are interested in dedicating your child on November 15, please email Beth, our Mosaic Kids director at beth@mymosaicchurch.com Online Giving: I've had a couple of people ask about online giving. If you consider Mosaic your home church and would like to give back to God and support what He is doing through Mosaic, you can do that through our safe, secure online giving page: http://www.mymosaicchurch.com/give.html. We don't want anyone to feel pressured to give! But if you are like me and don't ever write checks and would like the option to give online, we've got you covered! Thanks friends! I'm SUPER excited for this Sunday!! Pastor Erik Here's what's coming up for Mosaic: November 1 (This Sunday):
November 8: Baptism Sunday! Baptism is an outward expression of an internal faith in Jesus. It's taking the plunge to let everyone know that you are choosing to make Jesus the leader of your life. If you are interested in getting baptized, email me at erik@mymosaicchurch.com November 15: Child Dedication! What do we mean by dedication? Child Dedication is a time for you to dedicate yourself to Godly parenting. Of course, you won’t be perfect in this, but it’s a time for you to publicly dedicate yourself, to the best of your abilities, to raise your child in a Godly home. Our number one hope for all of our children is that they grow up and make a saving decision to follow Jesus Christ. Therefore, the best thing we can do for them is to create an environment where they can best meet Him. The dedication is a time for you to publicly dedicate yourself to this in front of your family, church family, and friends. It’s also a time for those friends and family to rally around you and support you in prayer. If you are interested in dedicating your child on November 15, please email Beth, our Mosaic Kids director at beth@mymosaicchurch.com Thanks friends! Have a great week and hopefully we'll see you on Sunday! Pastor Erik erik@mymosaicchurch.com We exist to help people Love God, Serve Others, and to Make Disciples. Here's what's coming up to help you grow in those areas: Loving God This Sunday we wrap up our "Relationship Rehab" series by hosting a Relationship Seminar. I will be interviewing Gerald L. Dahl- author, professional counselor, and relationship expert during the sermon part of the worship service. We'll be covering communication, families of origin, intimacy issues, and lots of other fun stuff. This is a great opportunity for you to invite a friend or neighbor to something that will be a little less "churchy" than a normal worship service. Tonight! We are invited to join with one of our parent churches, NorthRidge Fellowship, for a Night of Worship. 7 PM. A few of our Mosaic people will be involved with the service so come on out for a night of prayer and worship. Interested in getting baptized? Mosaic will be doing our first baptisms on Sunday, November 8. Email erik@mymosaicchurch.com if you would like more information. Serving Others Looking for a way to get connected at Mosaic? Find a place to serve! We'd love to have you join one of our teams: Mosaic Kids, Set Up and Tear Down, Tech, Hospitality, or Worship. If are interested in joining a team and making a difference and we'll get you plugged in! Making Disciples Small Groups kick off this week! Your Small Group leader will be contacting you with details about your first meeting. If you would like to join a group and haven't signed up yet, we do still have a couple spots open. Thanks friends! See you this Sunday! Pastor Erik erik@mymosaicchurch.com Wow- aren't the Fall Colors right now absolutely amazing?! I'm so thankful that God created a world with Octobers!
This Sunday, we continue our series "Relationship Rehab" by looking at Genesis 4, and how brokenness affects our relationships with our different family members. If you missed last Sunday's message, with Ryan's courageous testimony, you can download that HERE. Lunch with the Lindeens If you are new to Mosaic (like most people!), we'd love to have you join us after the worship service for "Lunch with the Lindeens." It's a casual lunch where we eat tacos and let newcomers ask any questions they might have about Mosaic Church. It's held at the Lindeen's house, so space is limited. If you haven't yet, please RSVP by emailing Kristin. Small Groups: Sunday is the last day to sign up for a Fall Mosaic Small Group! If you haven't yet, you can check out our groups HERE. Upcoming Events: Oct 25: Relationship Seminar. During the 9:30 AM Worship Service, Pastor Erik will be interviewing renowned relationship expert and professional counselor Gerald L. Dahl. This is a great event to invite a friend or co-worker to. Especially someone who might be struggling in their relationships. November 1: Dress Up Sunday! We are inviting kids to come dressed up to church and get their picture taken with a Disney Princess or Superhero! We will also be celebrating communion for the first time as a church and kicking off a new series called "Living a Better Story." Get a sneak peak of the new series HERE. November 8: Baptism Sunday November 15: Child Dedication Sunday If you are interested in getting baptized or dedicating your baby/child to the Lord, you can contact Pastor Erik at erik@mymosaicchurch.com Thanks friends! See you this Sunday! Hey Friends- Wow! Grand Opening was such an awesome day this past Sunday! Thanks everyone who helped make it happen! It's so great to be "officially open for business"! We had so many people show up that we ran out of gift bags! That's my bad! If you were a first time guest on Sunday and you did not receive a gift bag with your free book and CD, let me know, and I'll make sure to have more on Sunday. Family Fun Day (Love God) We're excited to continue celebrating this Sunday with our Family Fun Day right after the worship service. We'll be offering free hot dogs and chips, face painting, bounce house, magic tricks, and we'll have a couple corn hole (bean bag toss) games set up for the adults to play. This will all take place outside by the playground. So there will be tons of fun things to do for everyone! And the best part is the Vikings don't play on Sunday, so no need to rush home! Invite a friend or neighbor to come with you- it's going to be a blast! Find a Place to Volunteer (Serve Others) The best way to get connected and plugged in at a new church is to find a place where you can volunteer and serve others! Our biggest needs right now are people willing to serve in the Nursery (6 weeks-2 years old) and the Pre-K room (3-4 year olds) and people willing to join our set up and tear down team. If you are interested in serving with the kids, please email our Mosaic Kids director Beth Smith and if you are interested in helping with set up and tear down, please email Jeromie Smith (no relation- just a common last name!) If you join the kids team, you will get your own yellow "Mosaic Kids" T-Shirt and if you join the Set Up/Tear Down Team, you are guaranteed to lose 5 pounds in the first 5 months! Ok- maybe not guaranteed , but you will get a nice workout before church! Small Groups (Make Disciples) Small Groups are a great way to meet new friends, grow in your relationship with God, and just have fun! Small Groups are 8-12 adults meeting together in someone's home to discuss Sunday's sermon and support and encourage one another. Groups will start meeting the week of October 18 and will meet weekly until the week of December 13. Then we will take a couple weeks off for Christmas and New Years. This Fall, groups will meet on one of these nights of the week: Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday nights. If you are interested in joining a group, you can just reply to this email and let me know what night works best for you and if you will need a group that will be offering childcare. Thanks friends! I can't wait to see you all again this Sunday! Pastor Erik erik@mymosaicchurch.com Hey Friends- The long awaited day is almost here! In 3 days Mosaic Church will have our Grand Opening! We will be kicking off a new series called "Relationship Rehab." We'll be diving into the book of Genesis to see what God has to say about relationships. Check out a little sneak peak HERE. If you would like to help in some way for Grand Opening, we would love your help! You can just email me back and let me know how you would like to help! Here's a little schedule of the day: 7:30 AM. Serving Opportunities: Good with admin type of work? We would love for someone to volunteer a couple hours a week to do some admin work for Mosaic Church. This person would enter in the information from our Connection Cards into our database and help follow up with first time guests. Reply to this email if you are interested! We are also looking for some more people who would be willing to bring cookies on Sunday. If you would like to be a part of that rotation, please email Laura Holland and let her know. NO SERVICE THIS SUNDAY! Labor Day Weekend. Just a reminder- No Preview Service on September 6. Instead, I'd love to encourage you to invite a neighbor over for a cookout and then use that as an opportunity to invite them to our Grand Opening on Oct. 4th. Thanks friends! Remember- please be both praying and inviting as we are in this season of Preview Services. Have a great holiday weekend! Pastor Erik Mosaic Church I want to say a huge THANKS to our hard working Launch Team! They have worked tirelessly to help make our first two Preview Services be huge successes!
Some highlights: We've had about 100 people each Sunday- which is way more that I thought we would have! Set up and tear down has gone amazingly smooth. I am hearing nothing but great things from parents about our Mosaic Kids Ministry! Our Worship and Tech teams have been knocking it out of the park and our Hospitality Team has done an awesome job helping people feel welcome. THANK YOU for all your hard work! Couple of Things: -Connection Cards. Connection Cards are an incredibly helpful tool that will help us follow up with first time guests. BUT- we need EVERYONE, including regular attenders and those on the Launch Team, to fill them out each week. (If you are a regular attender, just fill out your name.) This helps our guests not feel like they are the only ones filling them out. I know, I know- you will get tired of filling them out each week. But by filling them out and dropping them off in the offering, that will help our guests feel more comfortable doing it too. Thanks! -Church Community Builder. You will be receiving an email from me sometime in the next week or so inviting you to set up your Church Community Builder profile. Church Community Builder is what we are using for our Kids Check-In on Sunday mornings, will help us schedule volunteers, and also be a great database tool. So be on the lookout for that email! -Mosaic Men's Bonfire: We are meeting at Jeromie Smith's house next Wednesday, September 2, from 8-9:30 PM. Join us for some volleyball, bean bag toss, and some good conversation around the fire after the sun sets. -Labor Day Weekend. No worship service on September 6. Instead, I'd love to encourage you to invite a neighbor over for a cookout and then use that as an opportunity to invite them to our Grand Opening on Oct. 4th. Let's BE the church! Thanks friends! Remember- please be both praying and inviting as we are in this season of Preview Services. See you on Sunday! Pastor Erik Mosaic Church "Its here! Its really here!!" The weekend we have been working towards for so long is finally here! We are holding our first preview service THIS Sunday, August 16. Have you invited a friend, neighbor, or co-worker to come visit us on our first Sunday?
In order to be prepared for our first worship service, we are setting up this Saturday at 10 AM at Weaver Lake Elementary School. We will be able to stay set up over night so that we will have less to do on that first Sunday morning. We'd love to have anyone and everyone come on out and help us get set up! At 11:30 AM, we'll all gather together for some leadership development and then at noon we will all gather outside for a time of prayer. Sunday morning, we are asking our Set Up Team, Tech Team, and Worship Team to arrive at 7:30 AM to finish setting up and get the band a sound check. We are asking that the Hospitality Team and Kids Ministry team arrive by 8:30 AM. We will all gather together for a time of team prayer at 9 AM and then service will start at 9:30 AM!! Please be both praying and inviting as we head into this season of Preview Services. Thanks friends! I'm looking forward to seeing you all this weekend for our very first Sunday service!
