Join us THIS Sunday night for our all church cookout! We'll be meeting at Jeromie and Jennifer Smith's house. To find their house, just take Weaver Lake Road west past Dunkirk till you see the huge, white 24 foot trailer :-) Jeromie and Jennifer have graciously offered to provide pork chops and corn on the cob (YUM!) so please bring a dessert or side to share. We'll have plenty of fun toys and activities for the kids and some fun out door games for the adults too! Don't miss this great opportunity to connect with other Mosaic folks! As always, feel free to invite any friends to our cookout. We're always open to having new people come hang with us. Couple Other Things: -We have had an AWESOME response to our Impact Campaign! But its not too late if you would still like to give a one-time gift to help us make a greater Impact this Fall in our marketing and children's ministry! To give online click HERE. -Just a reminder: we are asking everyone on the Launch Team to attend the 10:30 service at NorthRidge Fellowship in Rogers on August 9. I think its going to be a really cool service where they will spend some time praying over us and commissioning us as we officially launch our Sunday services on August 16. -We are going to do our first set up at Weaver Lake Elementary School on Saturday, August 15, at 10 AM. We'd love all the help we can get as we figure out where everything will go! -Our FIRST SUNDAY SERVICE will be on August 16!!! We'd love to have everyone invite a couple friends or neighbors to come on out and cheer us on that day. Thanks friends! I'm looking forward to hanging out with everyone this Sunday night! Pastor Erik Mosaic Church Join us THIS Sunday afternoon and evening (July 12) for a time of Boating and BBQ! Jayson and Beth Steinkopf have graciously agreed to host. They live right on Fish Lake and have a couple of boats that we will be using for tubing and water skiing! We'll also cook up some different kinds of meat and do a potluck style dinner. Here are the important details:
*Please RSVP HERE if your family is able to make it on Sunday so we know how much meat to buy. One final thing! In 40 days we will have our First Sunday Morning Worship Service at Weaver Lake Elementary School!!! Please be praying that we can get everything done that we need to get done and pray that God would prepare people's hearts and minds in the Maple Grove area to be receptive of the Gospel seeds we will be sowing. I'm also asking that those of us on the Mosaic Launch Team prepare our hearts by doing a 40 day devotional together. If you have the YouVersion Bible App, go to Plans and search "40 Days of Revival." I thought it would be a great tool to help us all prepare our hearts for the next 40 days. In addition to that, I would love to encourage you all to spend time each Friday fasting and praying and ask God to prepare your hearts to be used by God in great and mighty ways this Fall. Every great work of God has always started with prayer. Lets commit to being a team that prays and then buckle up and see what God does in and through us as we launch Mosaic Church! Thanks friends! I'm so glad I get to do this with you all! Have a GREAT week and hopefully I'll see most of you on Sunday! Pastor Erik Mosaic Church Looking for something fun to do this weekend? I'm so glad I get to do this with you all! Have a GREAT week! As I looked around at the 64 adults and kids talking to each other and enjoying some tasty desserts, I couldn't help but offer up my deepest thanks to God for bringing together such an amazing group of people! This past Sunday, our Launch Team gathered at Maple Ridge Church for our very first Launch Team meeting. It was a fantastic night as we were led in worship by Matthew Anderson and some of the other members of the team, heard some teaching, and then broke into teams. We ended the night with some hang out time as we chatted and enjoyed some delicious desserts. If you missed it, you won't want to miss our next meeting on June 7th (6:30-8:30 PM)! We'll let you know more details as we get closer. A couple of "Family Business" Items: 1.) LOVING GOD: We are starting a new initiate called "Friday Fasting and Prayer." We believe that as we build this church, it needs to be built on the foundation of prayer. So, we are asking people to set aside one hour on Fridays for prayer. I'll be fasting lunch on Fridays and I have reserved room 107 at the Maple Grove Library from Noon-1 PM. I would love to have anyone from the Mosaic team join me at the library for prayer! You don't need to stay for the whole hour- you can just come for part of the time. If you can't make it to the library, we would love to have you fast lunch wherever you are and spend some time praying during that hour. 2.) SERVING OTHERS: We have offered to provide breakfast for the teachers and administration at Weaver Lake Elementary on Friday, June 5th. If you would like to help us serve and appreciate the teachers and staff, please let me know! You can email me at: erik@mymosaicchurch.com 3.) MAKING DISCIPLES: We believe at Mosaic that our mission is to make disciples who make disciples. The reality is, starting a new church and making disciples takes a lot of money! If you have committed to the Mosaic Launch Team and have made Mosaic your home church, we are asking you to consider giving generously to help support our mission. Our "front door" and the main way that people will first plug into Mosaic Church will be our Sunday worship service. As a brand new church, we need a lot of equipment to pull off a worship service! Over the next 4 months, we need to raise an additional $15,234 to help pay for: our trailer, signage, kids ministry supplies, sound system, screen and projector, and rent at the elementary school. We are asking you to please pray and consider giving on a regular basis to Mosaic Church. All donations are tax deductible. If you would like to give online, please visit: Mosaic Online Giving We don't take any giving for granted. We want to be good stewards of the resources God sends our way. If you have any questions about our budget, please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to sit down and walk through the budget with you. Thanks friends! I'm so glad I get to do this with you all! Pastor Erik It's happening THIS Sunday night! I'm so excited!! *IMPORTANT!* We've had a slight change of plan. We are now meeting at Maple Ridge Church. Its right of Elm Creek Blvd and just behind the fire station. We'll be meeting from 6:30-8 PM. Also, instead of doing a potluck style dinner, please bring a dessert to share. We'll close the service with some yummy treats and a time of fellowship. We WILL have childcare for kids 9 years old and younger. We'd love to have kids 10 years old and older join us for our worship and teaching. We will start with some worship right around 6:30 PM. Then I'll give a Vision Talk and share a little teaching from Acts 3 and what I believe God is calling Mosaic to do and be. At about 7:30 PM, we'll break into some new teams that we will be forming. Be thinking about which team you would like to join! Here's a list of the different teams our Launch Team will break into:

If you have any questions or you would like more information about any of our upcoming events, please contact Erik at: erik@mymosaicchurch.com Thanks friends! We hope to see you soon at one of our upcoming events! It has been an exciting couple of months! On February 19, we had our first Mosaic Informational Meeting at Erik and Kristin's house. We had a total of 13 people (10 adults and 3 kids) for our first meeting. Then we had our second Mosaic Informational Meeting on March 15 at NorthRidge Fellowship in Rogers, MN. We were blown away by the turnout: 60 total people (35 adults and 25 kids) came to hear about Mosaic Church! We are so excited about the people who are joining the Launch Team and can't wait to see how God moves through Mosaic Church this summer and fall! If you'd like to hear more about Mosaic Church, we'd love to have you join us for one of our upcoming events: 1.) This Sunday night (March 29), we are hosting our first Night of Prayer and Worship. It will be at Erik and Kristin's house from 6:30-8 PM. All are welcome and childcare will be provided. 2.) We will hold our third Mosaic Informational Meeting on April 19 at Grace Fellowship in Brooklyn Park, from noon-1 PM. If you are checking out Mosaic Church, hopefully we'll see you at one of those events! -Pastor Erik As I held that simple sheet of paper in my hands, I knew that this was it. Everything was about to change! And that was both scary and exhilarating! On the last day of 2014, I was given my official Call Letter to be a lead pastor/church planter with Converge North Central (Baptist General Conference). We are so thankful that we are not on this journey alone! We have two awesome parent churches (Northridge Fellowship and Grace Fellowship) who will be coaching us and giving us tons of support. They are letting us recruit between 50 and 60 people between the two churches to help us gather a core launch team. If you don't know, that is incredibly generous of them! They have also committed $56,000 in financial support, which helps us get more than halfway to our goal of raising $100,000 for this new church start. Again, this is amazingly generous! I'll be spending the next four months as a "church planter in residence" at Northridge Fellowship in Rogers, MN. This will give me a great opportunity to continue learning about church planting as well as time to invest in relationships as we build our core team. I'm really excited about this opportunity as well as the gift of having our family plug into an existing church for a while. We are also very excited to be a part of a church planting group called Minnesota Grace. This is a group of Converge churches that are all daughter (or grand-daughter) churches of Grace Fellowship in Brooklyn Park, MN. Grace Fellowship has planted well over 20 churches in the past 25 years and is passionate about planting churches that are passionate about planting churches. As a part of this church planting group, our goal is that as Mosaic Church gets established, we would be able to partner with Grace to plant our first daughter church by 2019. This journey has just started and we have a long and hard road ahead of us, but we are confident that God will be with us and will empower us with his Holy Spirit to use us to make an impact in the Maple Grove area for God! If you are reading this and you would like to know how to pray for us or if you are interested in joining the launch team or becoming a financial partner, I would LOVE to talk with you! Please email me or use the contact link to reach out. Our whole desire is that we would make Jesus famous and help people in the suburbs know that its ok to not be ok. Because here's the reality: we are ALL broken and hurting and in need of a Savior! But God is going to use us broken people to form his beautiful Mosaic. We want to plant a church that plants churches. We want to help people love God, serve others, and help make disciples who make disciples. We would love your prayers as we launch this church and as we dream big dreams. Its all about Jesus and building His Church. We are just excited to be a part of what God is doing here in the Twin Cities. Thanks friends, Erik Lindeen Lead Pastor- Mosaic Church erik@mymosaicchurch.com |
