Hey Mosaic Friends! I hope you are all having a great week! I want to give a shout out to everyone who made Super Sunday a big success! We had 235 people attend our two services- the 3rd largest non-Easter service we have had since we launched! Every number has a name and every name has a story! We will always be excited to help more and more people learn what it means to Love God, Serve Others, and Make Disciples! Thanks to everyone who served this past Sunday and I want to especially thank everyone who made our Chili Potluck after church go well. I know everyone had a ton of fun and lots of people were able to connect with others who are a part of Mosaic. Thanks everyone! This Sunday This Sunday we continue our series "Better Together." We'll be diving into Luke 5:12-16. It's a POWERFUL story! You won't want to miss this Sunday! February 19. Parent and Child Dedication. What do we mean by dedication? What exactly are you dedicating? Really, there are two types of dedication happening. For one, it’s a time for you to dedicate yourself to Godly parenting. Of course, you won’t be perfect in this, but it’s a time for you to publicly dedicate yourself, to the best of your abilities, to raise your child in a Godly home. It’s also a time for those friends and family to rally around you and support you in prayer. The other meaning of the dedication is that you are “dedicating” your child to God. In the Bible, we see many instances of parents dedicating their child to God (Hannah; Mary & Joseph, etc.). While you won’t actually be handing your child over to us like many did in those days, it is a public symbol for you to say that you are dedicating your child to God. You are, in a sense, saying, “God, you gave me this child, and he/she is in your hands today. He/she is completely yours. If that is something you are interested in doing on February 19th, you can sign up HERE. February 19. Starting Point (7-8:30 PM) We want to help you get connected at Mosaic! One of the best ways to do that is through Starting Point. What is Starting Point? It's a one time, 90 minute class we hold once a month. It offers you a chance to learn more about the mission, vision, and values of Mosaic and where we are going as a church and to ask any questions you might have. This is one of the requirements for partnership (membership) at Mosaic so everyone needs to attend this class at some point before becoming a member at Mosaic. You can sign up HERE for February's Starting Point class. (No childcare). February 25th. Operation School Zone We want to be a blessing to our community! We are planning a fun, family friendly service project for everyone in the church to participate on Saturday, February 25h. We will be doing a deep clean of Rice Lake Elementary School from 10am till noon. This is a great opportunity to serve alongside your kids, neighbors, or co-workers and to bless one of the schools in our city! Anyone and everyone is invited to serve with us on that day! Email Pastor Nate at [email protected] for any questions or to sign up. February 26. Baptisms! Baptism is the symbol of repentance in our lives. At Mosaic- Baptism shouldn’t be something we tolerate, it should be something we celebrate! We celebrate what matters! The world celebrates what is temporary- the church celebrates what is eternal: radically transformed lives! Baptism: standing there in the water represents who you USED to be. Then you go under the water to identify with dying with Christ. Then you are raised out of the water to represent that you have new life with Jesus! Have you been baptized since you became a follower of Jesus? If not- we would love to baptize you on February 26th! Thanks friends! Lots of exciting things going on this month!! Have a blessed week, Pastor Erik Comments are closed.
