(We'll have childcare for kids 5 and under). Easter Sunday! I gotta admit: I had everything planned out for Easter a while ago...and then on Monday I felt like God was telling me "Nope! Here's what you are going to do!" So now I'm excited... and a little nervous!... to see how Sunday is going to turn out! Honestly, I think it's going to be an Easter I'll remember forever and I'm so excited to see what God does IN and THROUGH us all! If you haven't heard, as a way to BLESS everyone who attends our Easter service, we have hired a professional photographer from outside of Mosaic to take family portraits for whoever wants them on Sunday! Its our gift to you. In addition to that, all preschool and elementary age kids will receive a gift bag filled with candy and an Easter-themed craft that you will be able to do at home. Thanks friends! I'm praying for you all to have an encouraging and soul stirring Resurrection celebration weekend! There is nothing like celebrating what Jesus has done in the lives of people who have surrendered the leadership of their lives over to Jesus! Important Update: Coffee and Donuts- the staff and leadership team at Mosaic has gone back and forth about whether we should have donuts on Sunday mornings, but we have finally come to an official decision: we will no longer offer donuts or cookies on Sunday mornings. Instead, we will be using the money that we have been spending on donuts to start offering better coffee! Pastor Nate has worked out a deal with our local Starbucks, so starting next week we will be proudly be serving Starbucks coffee on Sunday mornings. As a bonus, they will be giving us Starbucks coffee cups to use on Sunday mornings- for free! Better coffee and no more having to deal with your kids (or husband!) begging for another donut hopefully will mean a better Sunday morning experience for everyone! Upcoming Events Wed, March 15. Jesus' resurrection is the single greatest event in the history of the world and Easter is a time for us to go all out and celebrate what Jesus has done for us! Easter is also a time where 7 out of 10 people who are invited to an Easter service by someone they know will accept that invitation. I'd love to encourage you to start praying about who God would like you to invite to one of our Easter services. Thanks friends! Have a great weekend! Pastor Erik Hey Mosaic Friends! I hope you are all having a great week! I want to give a shout out to everyone who made Super Sunday a big success! We had 235 people attend our two services- the 3rd largest non-Easter service we have had since we launched! Every number has a name and every name has a story! We will always be excited to help more and more people learn what it means to Love God, Serve Others, and Make Disciples! Thanks to everyone who served this past Sunday and I want to especially thank everyone who made our Chili Potluck after church go well. I know everyone had a ton of fun and lots of people were able to connect with others who are a part of Mosaic. Thanks everyone! This Sunday This Sunday we continue our series "Better Together." We'll be diving into Luke 5:12-16. It's a POWERFUL story! You won't want to miss this Sunday! February 19. Parent and Child Dedication. What do we mean by dedication? What exactly are you dedicating? Really, there are two types of dedication happening. For one, it’s a time for you to dedicate yourself to Godly parenting. Of course, you won’t be perfect in this, but it’s a time for you to publicly dedicate yourself, to the best of your abilities, to raise your child in a Godly home. It’s also a time for those friends and family to rally around you and support you in prayer. The other meaning of the dedication is that you are “dedicating” your child to God. In the Bible, we see many instances of parents dedicating their child to God (Hannah; Mary & Joseph, etc.). While you won’t actually be handing your child over to us like many did in those days, it is a public symbol for you to say that you are dedicating your child to God. You are, in a sense, saying, “God, you gave me this child, and he/she is in your hands today. He/she is completely yours. If that is something you are interested in doing on February 19th, you can sign up HERE. February 19. Starting Point (7-8:30 PM) We want to help you get connected at Mosaic! One of the best ways to do that is through Starting Point. What is Starting Point? It's a one time, 90 minute class we hold once a month. It offers you a chance to learn more about the mission, vision, and values of Mosaic and where we are going as a church and to ask any questions you might have. This is one of the requirements for partnership (membership) at Mosaic so everyone needs to attend this class at some point before becoming a member at Mosaic. You can sign up HERE for February's Starting Point class. (No childcare). February 25th. Operation School Zone We want to be a blessing to our community! We are planning a fun, family friendly service project for everyone in the church to participate on Saturday, February 25h. We will be doing a deep clean of Rice Lake Elementary School from 10am till noon. This is a great opportunity to serve alongside your kids, neighbors, or co-workers and to bless one of the schools in our city! Anyone and everyone is invited to serve with us on that day! Email Pastor Nate at nate@mymosaicchurch.com for any questions or to sign up. February 26. Baptisms! Baptism is the symbol of repentance in our lives. At Mosaic- Baptism shouldn’t be something we tolerate, it should be something we celebrate! We celebrate what matters! The world celebrates what is temporary- the church celebrates what is eternal: radically transformed lives! Baptism: standing there in the water represents who you USED to be. Then you go under the water to identify with dying with Christ. Then you are raised out of the water to represent that you have new life with Jesus! Have you been baptized since you became a follower of Jesus? If not- we would love to baptize you on February 26th! Thanks friends! Lots of exciting things going on this month!! Have a blessed week, Pastor Erik Super Sunday!
This Sunday is SUPER SUNDAY! Join us after the 10:30 AM service for a soup potluck lunch. We'll have a bounce house and two professional face painters for the kids! We are also encouraging everyone to wear their favorite football jersey or sports apparel to church. I'll be preaching in a throwback Vikings jersey! Everyone who attends will also get a free Mosaic Football as our way of saying "thanks for being on the team!" It's going to be an awesome Sunday! This is a great opportunity to invite a neighbor or co-worker to come check Mosaic out. Lunch Details We'll be providing cheese pizza for the kids... or for adults who don't like soup or chili :-) We currently have 10 families bringing soup or chili but we need about 5 more people to offer to bring soup or chili this Sunday. We need 2 more people to bring dessert and 2 more people to bring a salad. To sign up to bring something to share, you can just reply to this email and let me know what you can bring. Lunch, bounce house, and face painting will go from 11:45 AM-1:15 PM. New Series Starting This Sunday This Sunday we kick off a new series called "Better Together"! Life is better when shared with others! This month we will be focusing on relationships, authentic community, and how together we can make the world a better place.
Spring Small Groups This is the last week to sign up for a Spring Small Group! Small Groups are a great way to meet new friends, grow in your relationship with God, and just have fun! That’s why groups are an integral part of what we do at Mosaic Church… they are a great first step toward living in community and growing in your relationship with Jesus. You can see our list of groups and sign up for a group here: http://www.mymosaicchurch.com/small-groups.html Thanks friends! I'm so excited for SUPER SUNDAY! Pastor Erik |
