Hey Mosaic! I hope you are all having a great summer so far! We have some really great events coming up so please read through the rest of this email carefully to find out more about some great opportunities to connect with God and to connect with others. Before we get to our list of events, I wanted to highlight our first official business meeting coming up on August 20th. This is where we as a church will officially adopt our church constitution, recognize our first batch of Mosaic Partners (members), and vote on our first Nominating Committee and vote to affirm our Transitional Governing Team (board). If you are interested in becoming a Partner at Mosaic, I would love to talk with you about the process for that. There are three main steps to becoming a Partner: go through the Starting Point Class, meet with me for a short interview, and sign the Partnership Covenant Agreement. If you have any questions about any of that, please don't hesitate to send me an email or give me a call. Thursday, July 27: Feed My Starving Children Event Here at Mosaic, we believe that SAVED PEOPLE SERVE PEOPLE! We are partnering up with other Maple Grove churches to pack meals that will then be sent to needy people around the world! We would love to have you join us at a mobile packing event from 6:30-8:30pm at Maple Grove Covenant Church. Right now we have 4 people getting baptized on Sunday night and we have room for more to take the plunge! This is an All Church Event! Clear you calendar and make this a priority! We want to celebrate with those who will be taking this important step of faith! After the baptisms, we are inviting kids to swim and play on the beach. It's going to be an awesome night! 6:30-8:30 PM at Weaver Lake Park (just down the road from Weaver Lake Elementary School). Wednesday, August 2: Starting Point Are you new to Mosaic? We want to help you get connected! Join us for a taco dinner with Pastor Erik and his family and meet some other people who are new to Mosaic! Learn a little more about our mission, vision, and values. Starting Point is one of the requirements for becoming a partner (member) at Mosaic. 6:30-8 PM at my house.
