As a new church, instead of having lots of programs, we will limit what we do to three things:
Love God (Sunday Service)
Jesus teaches us in Matthew 22:37 that the greatest commandment, the most important thing, is to LOVE GOD with all our heart, soul, and mind. Our Sunday morning worship services are designed to help people grow in their knowledge of and love for God through relevant and challenging teaching, authentic and powerful worship, and the ordinances of the Church (baptism and communion).
Sermons work through books of the Bible, one chapter at a time.
We will celebrate and remember Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection by taking communion on the 1st Sunday of each month.
Serve Others (Local and Global)
Jesus taught that the second greatest commandment is to love others in the same way that we love ourselves (Matthew 22:39). Jesus showed us what it means to love others by living a life of service and sacrifice. We pledge to be a people that exists to SERVE OTHERS in love in order to help them know and love God and become fellow followers (disciples) of Jesus.
We want to partner with both local and global organizations to help put our faith into action.
As a community we provide meals for new parents and for those that are ill.
We value generosity as a church, so we give away to 10% of everything that is given to us. We give to our local and global partners and we invest in future church plants. Our hope is to be able to plant our first church plant by 2018.
Make Disciples (Small Groups)
In Matthew 28:19, Jesus told his followers to MAKE DISCIPLES. A disciple is someone who KNOWS Jesus, wants to BE like Him and DO the things He did. We think this happens best when small groups of people come together on a regular basis to open their Bibles and talk about Jesus. We have sign-ups 3 times a year for small groups. Small Groups are a great way to meet new friends, grow in your relationship with God, and just have fun! That’s why groups are an integral part of what we do at Mosaic Church… they are a great first step toward living in community and growing in your relationship with Jesus.
